           Summary: PHP's file_get_contents crashes Apache in WinXP
           Product: Apache httpd-1.3
           Version: HEAD
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: melado+bugzilla@gmail.com

Apache version: 1.3.37 (tried with 1.3.35 as well)
PHP version: 4.3.x? (tried with 4.3.11 and 4.4.4)
Windows XP SP2 5.1.2600
Didn't tried with Apache 2.x

When I try to run some file fetching functions of PHP, like file_get_contents,
for a remote file, Apache crashes. I think the problem comes from Apache and not
PHP, because if I run the same script in the CLI of PHP, everything works OK.

Here is some stupid examples:
---------------------------------------------
<?php
  // This will crash Apache
  file_get_contents('http://www.google.com/');
?>
---------------------------------------------
<?php
  // This will NOT crash Apache
  file_get_contents('localfile.txt');
?>
---------------------------------------------
