           Summary: proxying under ssl - the trailing slash is lost
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.3
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_proxy
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: gsmdib@gmail.com

The scenario is as follows: I've got tomcat running at localhost:8180 and httpd
at :80 and :443 serving http and https connections. What i want is to run
tomcat behind https, that's quite natural. Here is the config for http:
<VirtualHost *>
        ServerName www.myhost.org
        <Location /confluence>
                ProxyPass http://localhost:8180/confluence
                ProxyPassReverse http://localhost:8180/confluence
        </Location>
</VirtualHost>
That config runs just fine. I can access http://www.myhost.org/confluence/ w/o
any problems.
But asa i specify
<VirtualHost my.ip.address:443>
SSLEngine on
SSLCertificateFile    /etc/ssl/certs/www.myhost.org.crt
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/certs/www.myhost.org.key

with the rest remaining the same, things get screwed up. Trying to access
https://www.myhost.org/confluence/ I end up with http://
www.myhost.orgconfluence/ that naturally leads nowhere.

So the problem is that proxying to https gets the trailing domain name slash
lost.
A I see no signs of misconfiguration, this is considered a bug.
