  This is a vendor packaging issue and NOT a sufficiently specific httpd/apr
  bug report.  Closing (for good, please).  If there is a specific issue that
  individuals must run buildconf due to an apr packaging issue, open a bug for
  that specific issue citing the exact problem.

  We are glad to hear of your success, and suggest you continue to obtain the
  ASF distributed sources and install those, as -those- distributions are
  maintained and bug reports reviewed here.
