The point is that it "shouldn't be hard" to find out this information.  As a 
for instance, what is the URL for the canonical, dated announcement for the
1.3.32 legacy release ?  2.0.51 ?

I can (and for the subtle-bug-finding reason that started the thread) go through
the subversion repository, but that gets tiresome.
