To clarify, the code's in the installer, it's not associated with 2.2.2 or
2.0.58 (also affected).

So will explore and hopefully have a new package done in the next week that
resolves the issue.  Another minor nit is that some dns resolvers/configurations
will report that the domain name ends in a period, which should be stripped by
this very code.  E.g. you might see 'ep145.rtr-5521.bigtelco.com.' where you
didn't expect to see that trailing '.' in your configure servername/domain
dialog box.
