If it turns out that copying the worker is not really the correct thing to do it
would require several changes to the code to do this differently. These changes
will take some time. As your patch does not run in a wrong direction and we
actually have the bug now I committed your patch to the trunk as r394446
(http://svn.apache.org/viewcvs?rev=394446&view=rev).
