Well, there's nothing here to demonstrate anything more than a probable network
problem (or system problem, if the whole thing is hanging)  You need to go
through the diagnostic process fully: e.g. use strace to see what an httpd child
is doing when it "hangs" like this, etc.  e.g. use vmstat etc to see if it some
wider system issue.
