with mpm=worker
make results in 
server/mpm/worker/.libs/libworker.a(worker.o)(.text+0x163f): In function
`child_main':
/compile/httpd-2.1.6-alpha/server/mpm/worker/worker.c:1168: undefined reference
to `ap_thread_stacksize'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [httpd] Fehler 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/compile/httpd-2.1.6-alpha'
make: *** [all-recursive] Fehler 1

with mpm=prefork, compiling is done without errors

complete configure:

./configure --prefix=/wwwsoft/apache_2.1.6 --enable-suexec
--with-suexec-caller=apache2 --with-suexec-docroot=/home/www/apache2
--with-suexec-logfile=/logs/apache2/suexec-log --enable-mem-cache --enable-cache
--enable-disk-cache --enable-file-cache --enable-filter --enable-ext-filter
--enable-deflate --enable-usertrack --enable-headers --enable-expires
--enable-log-forensic --enable-ssl --enable-http --enable-vhost-alias
--enable-cgi --enable-cgid --enable-so --with-mpm=worker
--with-ssl=../openssl-0.9.7g
