Summary: Add --version flag to apxs
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.54
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Build
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: spam_from_apache_bugzilla@chezphil.org

It would be great if apxs could give an appropriate response to "apxs --version".

I'm asking for this after a moment of confusion during some remote debugging
when I was unsure if the user really had Apache 2.x as they claimed or Apache
1.x (they were getting mysterious errors from apxs). If apxs had had a
--version flag it would have been much quicker to solve. (Ideally this would be
added in both the 2.x and 1.x branches.)

Thanks, Phil.
