Summary: external rewriting program can confuse mod_rewrite
           Product: Apache httpd-1.3
           Version: 1.3.31
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: AIX
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_rewrite
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: heinrich.mislik@univie.ac.at

When an external rewriting program (MapType: prg) returns a line longer then
LONG_STRING_LEN (2048), mod_rewrite fails to read the whole line. The rest of the
line will be read with the next request. Symptoms are the same as for bug 14453.

As a workaround the external rewriting program should not return such lines.

As a bugfix mod_rewrite should read and discard the rest of the line and return
NULL.
