Summary: mod_rewrite causes an endless loop on amd64
           Product: Apache httpd-1.3
           Version: 1.3.31
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P4
         Component: mod_rewrite
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: ckruse@wwwtech.de

mod_rewrite causes an endless loop on amd64 plattforms with regexes beginning
with ^/? - the apache process handling the request will use 100% cpu. If you
don't use the ? in the regex (^/ instead of ^/?), everything works fine.
