In my httpd.conf I've got one VHost which has its DocumentRoot set to Y:\ which
is a network device.

When I try to start Apache, the Windows SystemLog says:

| The Apache service named  reported the following error:
| >>> Syntax error on line 314 of C:/www/apache/conf/httpd.conf:     .

| The Apache service named  reported the following error:
| >>> DocumentRoot must be a directory     .

Syntax of httpd.conf is correct and the directory exists!

When starting the Apache in a DOS-Window all works as aspected and no errors are
returned.

System is WinXP with Apache 2.0.52 but it also occoured in older versions of 2.x
