Summary: RewriteRule Gives an Internal Server Error on certain
                    REGEX
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.40
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Minor
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other Modules
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: billy@frostytomato.com

Hello,

RewriteRule (.+)$ /var/www/$1 [L] <-- this expression used to work

RewriteRule ([^/]+)$ /var/www/$1 [L] <-- now I have to use something like this
because the former gives an internal error.
