SSLMutex file: with nonexistant directory in path segmentation fault

Summary: SSLMutex file: with nonexistant directory in path
                    segmentation fault
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.0.45
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: mod_ssl
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: glenn@apache.org

If you configure mod_ssl with an SSLMutex file: with a directory path where
the last directory componenet does not exist Apache core dumps with a
segmentation fault.

This has been reproduced on the following systems.

Sun Netra X1 running Solaris 8 using Sun CC compiler.
PC running Solaris 7 x86 using gcc 2.95.3

The segmentation fault is generated within apr_global_mutex_create.

mod_ssl does not generate any error messages that there is an invalid
directory path for the SSLMutex file: configuration.
