If i submit an array using a html form with POST method, e.g.

<from action=... method="POST">
<input name="test[]" value="abc">
<input name="test[]" value="def">

this results in

$_POST["test"]=array(
   [0] = abc
   [1] = def
   [2] = abc
   [3] = def
