Additionally, just for the heck of it I put up a 1.3.27 server to see if it 
displayed any of these features. Oddly enough, it runs without a hitch. Now, 
that could mean that the v1 series are less strict with regards to how other 
applications interact with it, but that would be illogical. Still, it makes 
for a nice backup-server.
