The example you are trying to compile was written for an earlier version of
the API.  Please look at examples maintained in the Apache source tree for
proper filter API usage.

We can't address problems with software other than what is provided with the
Apache distribution via this support mechanism.

If you are having trouble writing a filter, 1st look at examples in the
Apache source tree, then if you're still stuck, ask on one of the mailing
lists described at http://httpd.apache.org/lists.html.

First try the module writers' list, and if you fail to find help there
then try the httpd developers' list.
