SSI includes drops characters from included file

Upon rereading my update I see I misunderstood your report. I was hoping
that this was a recently-fixed issue where a character at the end of a URL
name was lost, but you're clearly talking about the contents of the file.

Beyond the use of HTTP/1.1, does it only fail when the client issues more
than one request on the same TCP connection?

By any chance can you construct a simple testcase?
