BSoD Attemping to Terminate Apache with ZoneAlarm Installed

------- Additional Comments From ddyer@real-me.net 2002-09-24 17:46 -------
I have personally seen plenty of other wierd behavior when zonealarm
is present, which magically went away when zonealarm was deactivated
or removed.

1) listening sockets get stuck "on" so that if the listening
application crashes, the socket is unusable until the system
is rebooted.

2) Interference, somhow, wiht a TCP stream throughput. The
stream in question send short messages in both directions,
not strictly in query/response pattern. Under zonealarm
and some undetermined boundary conditions, throughput on
this channel becomes very low, like 1 message per minute.

3) Impossible to get rid of "service failed to start" errors
(except by removing zonealarm) for zonealarm's underlying
monitoring service.

4) windows NT became unbootable after the most recent zonealarm upgrade.
This one really scared me, so I threw out zonealarm altogether.

I've had zero substantive response from zonelabs on these issues.
