Runtime error occurs when I execute "htpasswd.exe" in Win2k

I have recompiled the htpasswd.exe for fixing the "-n and -c" conflict, but 
runtime error occurs. Do you have any idea on this issue?

Initial procedure:
--------------------
1. Update the htpasswd.exe for fixing "-n and -c " conflict problem.

Procedure:
--------------------
1. Open a commend prompt and go to the "Apache\bin" directory
2. Enter the following command: 
"htpasswd -c passwd tony"
3. Enter password in the prompt.
4. Runtime error occurs.

Error Message:

htpasswd.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The instruction at "0x0040363d" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory 
could not be "read".


Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
