Corruption of HTTP/0.9 response

------- Additional Comments From wrowe@apache.org 2002-06-02 16:26 -------

Have you backed down to 1.3.x on port 80? Would you put back up
the 2.0 server on port 82 for testing so I could verify the behavior
  you describe?

First, I use netcat (nc) over telnet for httpd testing, since it
isn't subject to byte-at-a-time and nagling.

Second, I'm suspecting your 'corruption' is really charset decoding
issues. pre-HTTP/1.0 requests (no protocol tag in the GET statement)
don't send character encodings with the body. That would leave the
client to guess, or discover the encoding through a META tag.
