Legibility issues with default colors for directory listings.

Summary: Legibility issues with default colors for directory
                    listings.
           Product: Apache httpd-1.3
           Version: 1.3.23
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://georgebox.org/misc/apachebug.png
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: george@georgebox.org

Directory listings are given a white background, regardless of the
user-specified colors in his or her browser. This would not be a problem,
except they are given the user-specified font and link colors. If the user's
colors are set up to be light-colored text on a dark background, then having
those light colors appear on a white background is nearly impossible to read.
Either specify all colors or (preferably) specify none.
