Subject Many perl glue problems
Date Tue, 22 Mar 2005 08:53:14 GMT
Hi,

I was trying to build the perl glue for the first time. I ran into a
lot of problems...

I'm using apache 2.0.53 and mod_perl-2.0.0-RC4, libapreq2 multi-env.

./build/version_check.pl 35
-        require mod_perl2;

My mod_perl distribution provides mod_perl.pm, not mod_perl2.

hunk ./glue/perl/Makefile.PL 20
-use Apache2::Build;

Same here - I have Apache::Build.

I changed that in several files, but nearly all glue tests fail (the
non-glue tests succeed). I got 4 coredumps after the glue test:

#0  0x404ccfa4 in apreq_handle_apache2 (r=0x0) at handle.c:428
#1  0x409cae9e in XS_APR__Request__Apache2_new ()
   from
#/home/max/darcs/apreq-1/glue/perl/blib/arch/auto/APR/Request/Apache2/Apache2.so
#2  0x40434d97 in Perl_pp_entersub () from /usr/lib/libperl.so.5.8
#3  0x4042d5fb in Perl_runops_standard () from /usr/lib/libperl.so.5.8
[...]

The other three look similar: apreq_handle_apache2() is called with
r==NULL.

Now... what am I doing wrong? Any idea?

Max
