Szehon, yup I was facing issue mentioned in HIVE-692= 8. By using --outputFormat=3Dvertical it is showing proper result but not u= ser friendly.

For now it is fine for me. I ll have to wait for hive= release 0.14.0 to get proper result in tabular form.

Once aga= in Thanks Szehon !! :)

This can be used to move upwa= rd/download on beeline cli.

The issue is I am not able to move= on right side (in horizontal direction) to view the other columns.
E.g. There are 30 columns in hive table "test" but when i run = "select * from test",it is showing only 6-7 columns on beeline cl= i depending on length of column names.

Probably this is an iss= ue in beeline cli.

If anyone know please let me know how to mov= e right side on beeline cli ??

Hi,

I am using Beeline client to connect to hiveserver2= on linux machine.

In terminal when=C2=A0 i run query: "s= elect * from table"; It only show first few columns in case there is l= arge no.of columns in table.

There should be horizontal s= croll on beeline if there is larger result but there is not any scroll now.=

So How to view all columns on beeline client??
