AFAIK, you can use date and time as column names. Hive only uses string

I forget where you find the keyword list (a quick google did not find it for me) but you can
use any name you like as a column name provided you escape it in the CREATE TABLE statement
with backticks ``

Might make you life easier not to use reserved names, mind you ...
