The 3 hbase test failures are related to the change, [~swarnim], could you have a look? 
And when you attach a new patch, it may take a while before the pre-commit build run because
there are many patch changes waiting in the queue and each build takes several hours.

but not for filter because a filter is respected only when an actual scan is performed. This
