Szehon Ho commented on HIVE-8340:
---------------------------------

I see, but I thought the hiveserver2.cmd sets this when starting HS2, so wondering what case
would the user need to set this? Wasn't following the JIRA, thanks in advance.

> On stopping the HS2 service from the services tab, it only kills the root process and
does not kill the child java process. As a result resources are not freed and this throws
an error on restarting from command line.
