Subject how to produce non uber hive-exec.jar
Date Fri, 11 Jul 2014 20:30:57 GMT
Currently the 'ql' module which produces a hive-exec.jar uses
maven-shade-plugin to produce an uber jar. Is there a way to also produce
something like hive-exec-core.jar which would only have hive classes from
ql module? (and publish this jar as well?)

There are options on the shade plugin to give a name to the shaded
artifact, but using those I end up hive-exec.jar being the slim jar and a
fat jar with a new name. This creates a backwards compat issue.

Any advice would be appreciated.
