Subject [jira] [Commented] (HIVE-4542) TestJdbcDriver2.testMetaDataGetSchemas fails because of unexpected database
Date Sat, 11 May 2013 02:11:16 GMT

Thejas M Nair commented on HIVE-4542:
-------------------------------------

TestHiveMetaStoreChecker seems to be the one leaving the "dbname" database around. Its cleanup
needs to be fixed. TestJdbcDriver2 should clean up the databases before running the test.

>                 Key: HIVE-4542
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-4542
>             Project: Hive
>          Issue Type: Bug
>    Affects Versions: 0.12.0
>            Reporter: Thejas M Nair
>            Assignee: Thejas M Nair
>
> The check for database name in TestJdbcDriver2.testMetaDataGetSchemas fails with the
error -
> {code}
> junit.framework.ComparisonFailure: expected:<...efault> but was:<...bname>
> {code}
> ie, a database called dbname is found, which it does not expect. This failure will happen
depending on the order in which the function get the databases, if "default" database is the
first one, it succeeds.
