Hive supports "alter view" on setting property, add/drop partition etc but not "as".

If you want to change "as" part, you have to drop view, recreate it and backfill partition etc. pretty painful.

It will be nice to support this. The reference is mysql syntax http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/alter-view.html
