Subject [jira] [Created] (HIVE-3243) ignore white space between entries of hive/hbase table mapping
Date Mon, 09 Jul 2012 03:25:34 GMT
Weidong Bian created HIVE-3243:
----------------------------------

Summary: ignore white space between entries of hive/hbase table mapping
                 Key: HIVE-3243
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-3243
             Project: Hive
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 0.9.0
            Reporter: Weidong Bian
            Priority: Trivial

In hive/hbase integration, when creating a hive/hbase table, white space is not ignored in
hbase.columns.mapping.
e.g. "cf:foo, cf:bar" will create two column families "cf" and " cf" in the underlying hbase
table, which is certainly not what the user want and make them confused.
