Carl Steinbach commented on HIVE-2921:
--------------------------------------

Currently all of the methods in the StatsAggregator and StatsPublisher interfaces use a boolean
return value to indicate success or failure, which ends up hiding a lot of information when
things go wrong since underlying methods are required to squelch exceptions. These methods
should instead wrap and then re-throw the underlying exception.
