True, although that particular library and its dependency are Apache 2.0-licensed, just like
Hive.

It seems like some kind of lookup function in an external data file would be a good example.
 It's hard to think of anything that would be both generally useful to Hive users and public-domain,
though.  Is there something in here maybe?  http://aws.amazon.com/datasets
