We discussed this a bit in yesterday's contributor meeting. The general view was all of these
checks make sense in HiveMetaStore. For the backdoor you are describing, John suggested there
could be an "admin" mode which will skip these checks in metastore. So, to make changes generally
not permitted you will run in "admin" mode and all other times you will run in regular user
mode.
