Subject RE: Supporting HTTPS\SSL

Okay, I made some progress on this one. But, getting a certificate
Exception and it is as follows :

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to
find valid certification path to requested target

What should be my next course of action. If I sign my client ( having my
own certificate and put it in the java run time certificate
location....) will it suffice ??

Would I need to upgrade my stuff to HttpClient 3.x version for this to
work. Currently, I have my stuff working fine with HttpClient2.x
