I personally would not want to do it that way. What should happen if the first POST succeeds?
I also kind of doubt that there are many servers that implement Digest Auth but for some reason
fail to implement HEAD and OPTIONS request. Anyway, if compatibility is your overriding concern
I would recommend going GET first, followed by POST.
