Subject [jira] [Commented] (HTTPCORE-412) Send HTTP trailers in request
Date Sat, 14 Nov 2015 21:16:11 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCORE-412?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15005622#comment-15005622

Daneel Yaitskov commented on HTTPCORE-412:

httpd developers stated clearly the requirement about the declaration of trailers in the comments
to mod http proxy patch.

Please note that the trailers shall not be handled/forwarded blindly,
the RFC 7230 (sections 4.1.2, 4.3 and 4.4) is quite strict about
acceptable trailers and how they ought to be announced in the headers
(TE, Trailer, ...), so clients have to conform too.

Look at ylavic's comment about the feature.

Though Tomcat went other way it ignores Trailer but requires to put expected trailer names
on a white list (allowedTrailerHeaders).
