Daniel Doubrovkine commented on HTTPCLIENT-1681:

[~michael-o] I am the author of that post ;) It's fairly old, it might have issues indeed
- please point them out so I can fix them?

I've worked on waffle since then, https://github.com/dblock/waffle which has been thoroughly
tested and applied to thousands of production environments.

> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
> Key: HTTPCLIENT-1681
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-1681
> Project: HttpComponents HttpClient
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: HttpClient
> Affects Versions: 4.5
> Environment: Windows 7
> Reporter: Alexander Bernstein
> I am using WindowsNegotiateScheme (created by WindowsNegotiateSchemeFactory) to have
my client authenticate using SPNEGO.
> During the auth dance, several instances of WindowsNegotiateScheme are created. At a
later time (arbitrary) these objects are finalized by GC, which causes a GPF and a crash.
