Subject [jira] [Commented] (HTTPCLIENT-1398) Unable to access HttpClients or HttpClientBuilder in OSGi
Date Tue, 17 Sep 2013 05:22:51 GMT

Jens Offenbach commented on HTTPCLIENT-1398:

I have built a new version. Now it's working correctly! The packages are properly exported
and accessible. I have adapted my code to 4.3. Everythings looks pretty fine. In my specific
case, I cannot use the HttpClientBuilderFactory, because I have to produce a jar that also
runs independently of OSGi.

Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, I have some trouble with your required JCL logger version. I have created an
issue here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-1400. It is possible to fix that?

> Key: HTTPCLIENT-1398
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-1398
> Project: HttpComponents HttpClient
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: HttpClient
> Affects Versions: 4.3 Final
> Reporter: Jens Offenbach
> Fix For: 4.3.1
> Because the package "org.apache.http.impl.client" in the MANIFEST.MF is declared as private
and NOT exported, nobody is able to access the builder classes for building a HttpClient instance.
