Karl Wright commented on HTTPCLIENT-1264:

Hi Oleg,

I am currently in the midst of release challenges myself. I have a current workaround in
place in ManifoldCF so it is not critical that a browser policy more in accord with actual
browsers be provided by HttpClient. On the other hand, I would think this would be used heavily
by others. The question about keeping footprint small would therefore need to be answered
in this light.

If you agree, and want to leave the ticket open and point me at the documentation you feel
is needed, I can certainly provide the code and doc - after the current MCF release is done.
I don't have a lot of different browser versions to play with however, and that's where the
issue would be for me.

> The ManifoldCF project is currently moving to HttpComponents 4.2.2 from a heavily patched
commons-httpclient 3.1 version. One of the patches seems to have no particular equivalent
yet in HttpComponents. Please see CONNECTORS-119 for details about what the patch did, and
research into the current HttpComponents code base.
> I am happy to create a specific patch if that is desired; please let me know.
