Starting with m2e 1.2 you can configure this setting in your workspace preferences. This will
avoid adding m2e specific settings to the project pom.xml
Eclipse should show you a quick fix for that. I am using Eclipse Juno with m2e 1.2 I applied
the quick fix and it solved the problem for me.
