Subject [jira] [Commented] (HTTPCLIENT-1304) SystemDefaultHttpClient discards Headers set on the request
Date Thu, 24 Jan 2013 14:55:12 GMT

Oleg Kalnichevski commented on HTTPCLIENT-1304:

Are you sure about that? SystemDefaultHttpClient is a trivial subclass of DefaultHttpClient
[1] that are identical in all but a few configuration options.

Could you put together a test app that reproduces the issue?

> SystemDefaultHttpClient discards Headers set on the request
> -----------------------------------------------------------
> Key: HTTPCLIENT-1304
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-1304
> Project: HttpComponents HttpClient
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: HttpClient
> Affects Versions: 4.2.3
> Reporter: Denis Carniel
> If a HttpUriRequest has headers defined using the "setHeader" / "addHeader" methods,
those headers are properly sent when the request is executed through a DefaultHttpClient but
are discarded when using a SystemDefaultHttpClient.
> As this does not seem to be an expected behaviour it is likely a bug, and a nasty one
as the link between the HttpClient implementation and headers processing isn't obvious.
