Sebastian,

I am not sure I fully understand this request. DefaultRequestDirector#tryConnect passes connectCount
to the retry handler as a parameter already. How else would you like this count to be accessible?
Would you like the HttpRequestRetryHandler#retryRequest to have a different parameter signature,
or would you like the connect count and the total count values to be accessible through HttpContext?
