Subject [jira] [Updated] (HTTPCLIENT-1121) httpclient 4.1.2: ssl connection can not be setup using sun jvm 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_10-b03, mixed mode) on linux

F. Chen updated HTTPCLIENT-1121:

    Attachment: test.zip

I removed the dependency and let test.zip contain only 3 needed files and so that the compile
will be easy.
To run it, please define your URL which supports ssl always with the ssl port and a simple
test msg file.

For example.

java test.TestDriver https://xxxx:yyy/xxxx test.xml

best regards

> Hi,
> We are trying to replace httpclient 3.x with 4.1.2 and want to use some new features
in 4.1.2.
> Our test program tries to use HTTPS to make a web call on a remote server.
> Our test program runs fine under jdk 1.6. and it gets the following under JDK 1.5 which
it is our production environment.
> java.net.SocketException: Socket Closed

> If needed, i can upload my test program.
> Can you please investigate why the httpclient 4.1.2 does not work under JDK 1.5.x?
> Thanks for any idea and help.
