Subject [jira] Commented: (HTTPASYNC-5) improve Ant based build targets
Date Mon, 28 Aug 2006 13:45:24 GMT

Oleg Kalnichevski commented on HTTPASYNC-5:

I reviewed build files for HttpCore and they seem all right. Many thanks for taking care of
that. One thing I noticed is that we might still want to include impl classes into javadocs.
We should clearly state that the internal implementation, semantics, and protected API of
those classes are subject to change, but nonetheless they should be documented as lots of
folks should actually be using them as default implementations of the public API or as base
classes for their own custom extensions. Otherwise it is good to close the issue.

> The Ant based build targets have some annoying peculiarities, like
> - JavaDoc target depends on compilation target
> - no compilation/package target for contrib code
> - main, contrib and test sources are all compiled into same class tree
