Subject Re: Compatible with java 1.4.2
Date Fri, 22 Jul 2005 22:06:40 GMT
I reported a similar issue with IBM142 back in September, 2004
(http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/jakarta-httpclient-dev/200409.mbox/%3c43474221-1290-11D9-ABCF-00306557E112@u.washington.edu%3e).

We haven't been using the IBM142 of late but I no longer see the problem
using commons-httpclient-3.0-rc2.jar and "Java(TM) 2 Runtime
Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2) Classic VM (build 1.4.2,
J2RE 1.4.2 IBM build cxia32142-20050609 (JIT enabled: jitc))" on a
2.6.11 kernel (I just tried fetching a bunch of https pages from
verisign and didn't get the 'Socket is not connected' message.) Does it
happen on every https access?
Yours,
St.Ack
