Subject Contributors wanted for javadocs clean-up
Date Fri, 01 Aug 2003 22:08:40 GMT
To all HttpClient users out there,

Before HttpClient 2.0 can be released we still have a very tedious but
important task to complete: javadocs clean-up. The javadocs of many
'older' classes such as HttpClient, HttpMethod, HttpMethodBase, etc are
helplessly outdated or/and inconsistent and in need of improvement. This
is an unpleasant and unexciting work, but it needs to be done before the
final release.

Fortunately this is one of the areas where virtually everyone can
contribute just a little and make a big difference. If HttpClient has
been serving you well, if it helped you save time and efforts for your
primary project, this may be your chance to give something back to the
community. You do not have to possess a detailed knowledge of
HttpClient's internal working. It may be enough to point out those
classes that are inadequately documented, or javadocs that are too
complicated, too abstract, not clear enough, inconsistent or outdated.
Language corrections would be a hugely appreciated contribution too. If
you see a better, clearer, easier way of expressing the same idea,
please feel free to contribute your suggestions.
