Does 'driver-class-path' come after --jars path? What if you put the conf
reference on --jars path?

Or, one of the jars has an hbase-default.xml in it that has not be
interpolated with version info. Adding a jar with interpolated
hbase-default.xml at head of the list of jars should fix it.
