Have you tried the following ?

     scan 'cars', { COLUMNS => ['exterior', 'interior'], LIMIT => 10,
FILTER =>
"(ColumnPrefixFilter('sunroof')" }

ColumnPrefixFilter filters on KeyValue's. So as long as there is no
intersection between exterior and interior, it should work.
