Indeed, interesting.

Here is an extract from the exception Reddi as posted:

NoSuchColumnFamilyException: Column  family 'cf'  does not exist ... in
table 'twitter_mobile_data', {NAME => 'cf', .....

What hbck gives you? what do you have in the HDFS folder for this region?
